The occupiers completely destroyed Trypillia TPP, one of the largest thermal power plants in Ukraine
As a result of a massive missile attack on the night of Thursday, April 11, Russian troops completely destroyed the Trypillia thermal power plant in Kyiv region.
“All employees who were on shift during the shelling are alive,” Andriy Gota, chairman of the supervisory board of Centrenergo, told Interfax-Ukraine.
The hits caused a large-scale fire in the turbine shop. The company is currently working to localize the fire. On March 22, 2024, Zmiivska TPP in Kharkiv region was completely destroyed, and on July 25, 2022,
Russian troops occupied Vuhlehirska TPP in Donetsk region.
Currently, Centrenergo has lost 100% of its generation.
On the night of April 11, Russia launched 42 missiles and 40 drones at Ukraine. The air defense forces managed to shoot down 18 missiles and 39 “shaheds”. The occupiers attacked power generation facilities and transmission systems in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, and Kyiv regions. In particular, two DTEK thermal power plants came under fire.
