In response to the Russian offensive, the United States plans to provide Ukraine with three types of remote mining systems as part of a new $725 million military aid package.
These include the ADAM (Area Denial Artillery Munition) artillery system, the MOPMS (Modular Pack Mine System) portable system, and the Volcano system for remote mine placement. Such weapons are called unstable mines because they are designed to self-destruct after a set time.
At the same time, the Italian government is preparing the next aid package for Ukraine, which is likely to be approved by the end of this month. It is noted that since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Italy has already approved nine aid packages for Ukraine, which include two air defense systems known as SAMP/T.
Instead, Bulgaria announced the seventh defense aid package to Ukraine this year, which includes weapons, equipment, and ammunition. Earlier, the Bulgarian government completed a deal to send 110 BTR-60 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
