Ukraine continues to develop its arsenal of military technologies by testing a new prototype of a gliding munition. According to Forbes, this GPS-guided bomb has much in common with France’s AASM Hammer. Its maximum range is up to 64 kilometers (40 miles), making it an effective tool for precision strikes.

If Ukraine succeeds in establishing local production of this munition, it will allow the country to reduce its dependence on foreign suppliers and come closer to Russia’s campaign of planned bombs. This new product will be part of Ukraine’s growing portfolio of munitions, which already includes the Neptune cruise missile, the new Palyanytsia missile drone, and a number of attack drones. The latter include at least two models of sport aircraft capable of flying up to 1,000 kilometers with explosive payloads.

The development of precision munitions allows Ukraine to reduce its dependence on allied supplies and increase its independence in conducting military operations. In particular, Ukrainian intelligence officer Kyrylo Budanov noted that Ukraine also produces drones capable of covering distances of up to 1,800 kilometers.

In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using new tactical solutions, including “dragon drones” that drop thermite mixture on Russian positions. These innovations demonstrate Ukraine’s commitment to implementing modern technologies to enhance its defense capabilities and combat effectiveness.
